Jarvis’ extensive knowledge of civil litigation assists clients in solving civil disputes, whether personal or business. He genuinely cares for his clients and provides sound reason in complex situations.
Educated at the University of British Columbia, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Jarvis earned his Bachelor of Laws from the Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and was called to the Bar in 1989 when he began his practice in civil litigation. He has been practicing in Waterloo Region since 2001. Jarvis has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, and has had matters proceed to the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also appeared before various tribunals.
Jarvis is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Advocates’ Society and the Waterloo Region Law Association. He was formerly a Trustee of the Waterloo Law Association, and was for a portion of that time, a member of the Executive Committee. He is currently a member of the Bench-Bar Committee.
Jarvis was previously a basketball referee. In his spare time he enjoys watching sports and action movies.
